Rural revitalization strategy strives to help more rural businesses grow

Keeping aligned with China's rural revitalization strategy, the State Grid's power supply company in the Lingcheng district of Dezhou, Shandong province is striving to help local rural businesses grow by providing valuable services for them.

Derun Tong E-commerce Technology (Hainan) Co Ltd, a wig manufacturer, is one of the company's clients. In fact, State Grid's power supply company in Lingcheng helped Derun Tong settle into Lingcheng by building new power lines and utility poles to ensure stable power supply, as well as providing technical training for its staff.

Currently, Derun Tong is planning on further improving production capacity, which can create over 30 jobs for the local villagers. To help Derun Tong better complete the transformation, the power company said it followed up the whole transformation process and responded to all kinds of power needs promptly.

According to the company, it developed a detailed list of services for many local firms in rural areas. It sent staff to visit the firms every month and conduct comprehensive inspections on their power lines and electrical equipment. Besides, based on the equipment load, the company provided suggestions for the firms to ensure the safe and economical use of power.

The company's moves not only help rural firms grow stronger, but also bring more convenience to the local people. "Now I can work right on my doorstep," said an employee of Derun Tong, surnamed Zheng.

Over the past few years, the State Grid Corp of China has actively cooperated with local governments and companies to promote rural revitalization, significantly contributing to the country's high-quality development.

The recently concluded Central Economic Work Conference pointed out that China needs to promote an all-round rural revitalization effectively and vigorously, with a focus on improving rural industries, rural construction, and rural governance.

According to Wen Tiejun, executive director of China Academy of Rural Construction, from Southwest University, rural revitalization is becoming the most important mission for the whole society. It can be a main drive for China's development and help it better cope with the challenges of anti-globalization.
