The list of "Cities with a Wonderful Life in China" for the 2022-2023 period was recently released in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. According to the Publicity Department of the CPC Huangshan Municipal Committee, Huangshan City became the only city in Anhui Province selected as one of the "Ten Most Scenic Cities in China". The list includes four categories: "Ten Most Beautiful Cities in China", "Ten Most Scenic Cities in China", "Ten Best Tourist Attraction Cities", and "Ten Most Charming Cities for Visitors". The result of the "Cities with a Wonderful Life in China" list is based on big data analysis of the result of a multidimensional investigation named "Wonderful Life in China Survey". It is currently the world's largest-scale survey of people's sense of well-being. Its tracking and surveying system has been in operation for 17 consecutive years, and distributes 100,000 paper questionnaires covering more than 150 cities and nearly 300 counties across the country. It was jointly developed by the China Media Group, the National Bureau of Statistics, China Post Group Corporation, and the National School of Development of Peking University. The 2022-2023 'Wonderful Life in China Survey' focuses on 22 dimensions related to people's sense of fulfillment, happiness, and security, with particular attention to employment, education, culture, and quality of life. It also adds green development and social civilization to the evaluation criteria for the first time, aiming to provide an observation record of the process of Chinese modernization.
